Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original – High-Performance 2-in-1 Primer and Topcoat
Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original is a high-performance metal coating designed as a primer and topcoat in one, available in over 4,400 colours. This urethane modified alkyd product delivers excellent drying properties at low temperatures and includes rust-inhibitive pigments, making it a superior choice for both professional and industrial applications.
Applications
This versatile coating can be applied to bare or manually derusted steel. For primed steel, use with CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion 3369/3380. Ideal for use in light industrial environments, CombiColor Original can be applied with a brush, roller, or air spray.

Application Guidelines
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, rust, and other contaminants.
- Application Methods: Use a brush, roller, or air spray. Adjust thinning and application techniques based on the method used.
- Thinning: Up to 10% volume with Rust-Oleum Thinner 7301.
- Drying Times: Touch dry in 2 hours at 20°C, 3 hours at 10°C, and 1.5 hours at 30°C. Fully cured in 7 days at 20°C.
Limitations and Restrictions
Do not apply in conditions below 5°C or above 35°C. Avoid using on surfaces that are not properly prepared. Always refer to the downloadable data sheet for detailed information on application and safety guidelines.
Recommended Products
For enhanced corrosion protection in aggressive environments, use CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion 3369/3380 as a base coat before applying CombiColor Original.
Health and Safety
The product is classified as hazardous under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. Contains neodecanoic acid, cobalt salt which may produce an allergic reaction. Always handle with appropriate personal protective equipment.
